A Duet for Tourist & Failed Wizard

(ttto "New York, New York" -- w:Fred Ebb m:John Kander)
(based on the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett)

(Twoflower sings; Rincewind speaks over him as written)

Twoflower:    Start spreading the news, I'm leaving today,
                     [sound of the Luggage scampering]

T:                   I'm gonna be a part of it -- in Ankh-Morpork!
Rincewind:                                             Of the river?

T:                  These boring old shoes are longing to stray,
R:                                                                              Must be the lice.

T:                  And step around the heart of it -- old Ankh-Morpork!
R:                                                          Body parts in the street AGAIN?

T:                  I wanna wake up, in the city that never sleeps
R:                                              You expect to live through the night, then?

T:                  And meet heroes, barbarians, wizards' librarians...
R:                                                                                  Thieves, assassins, arsonists, prostitutes, pickpockets...

T:                  These Agatean blues are melting away
R:                                                                          TOLD you not to drink the water!

T:                  I'll make a brand new start of it in Ankh-Morpork!
R:                                                                                              I've heard that before!

T:                  If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere
R:                                                                                  That's for sure!

Together:      It's up to you, old Ankh-Morpork!
