These are some pictures I took on December 26, 2002 in my own back
yard, in Malden, MA. Click on the thumbnail to enlarge.
| I spotted my cat Gabbie intently watching something out
our living room window, and went to take a look. |
| She was watching the squirrels in the big old tree in the yard.
Unfortunately, by the time I got the camera focused, the group of
five had dwindled to two. |
| Since I already had the camera out, I decided to go out and
photograph interesting ice formations, like the sagging ice on our porch
railing, while I still had light. |
I found some interesting ice formations:
And then the squirrels came back:
Other pictures:
| Apparently Gabbie found my tramping around the yard interesting
to watch. |
| I think these burls on our tree look like odd gnarly
faces, in the right light.
|
| The terraced area where my friend Susan helped me
plant bulbs was unrecognizable after the big storm.
